The third and final top prospect to watch on Monday afternoon is Michigan’s signal caller J.J. McCarthy.  According to ESPN, the junior quarterback ranks as the NFL Draft’s 4th best quarterback and the 22nd overall player.

The former 247Sports Composite five star prospect has helped guide the Wolverines to three consecutive Big Ten titles and three straight College Football Playoff appearances.  He’s an incredibly athletic specimen.  Clocking in at 6’3” / 202 lbs, he possesses an ideal frame for an NFL quarterback.  In addition, the midwestern native has a cannon for an arm and a pair of wheels speedy enough to be a bonafide dual threat behind center.

As such, Alabama’s defense will have its work cut out for them.  Despite the Crimson Tide defense featuring four of the top 50 prospects, according to ESPN, in Dallas Turner, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Terrion Arnold, and Chris Braswell, ‘Bama got carved up the last time they faced an elite mobile QB — LSU’s Jayden Daniels.  He threw for 219 and rushed for 163 en route to the Bayou Bengals hanging nearly 30 points (28) on Saban’s defense in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
