Incoming: 14. . . 524. . . 11. Arkansas. Outgoing: 20.

After a 4-8 season, Sam Pittman was ready for a fresh start on the offensive side of the ball and that’s what he’ll get with Bobby Petrino calling plays for new quarterback Taylen Green, a Boise State transfer. Green, a dual threat, threw for 1,752 yards and 11 touchdowns with nine interceptions and ran for 436 yards and nine scores as a redshirt sophomore in 2023.

Green walks into the starting role because KJ Jefferson transferred away to UCF. Raheim Sanders also left, heading for South Carolina and so did both of the Razorbacks’ starting linebackers, Jaheim Thomas and Chris Paul Jr. finding homes at Wisconsin and Ole Miss respectively.

Pittman filled the linebacker spot with Xavian Sorey Jr. from Georgia and added Utah running back Ja’Quinden Jackson. Arkansas lost a lot, but is losing a lot off a 4-8 team really that bad? Pittman will need to prove he can win with his new cast of characters or he’ll be “transferring” next offseason and not by choice.
