For me, this was a tough pick. I am a Michigan State alum and I've dealt with plenty of bad Michigan fans on social media, but you can't sit there and tell me that this fanbase isn't the most passionate in all of college football.

The only thing that strengthened it from last year (which I didn't think was possible) was a national title amid a "scandal" season. Now I put scandal in quotations because most Michigan fans won't admit that there was one and their defense of their team, head coach, and program is almost honorable at this point. You can't say a negative thing about Michigan without hearing from dozens of Wolverine fans.

Michigan fans are not only passionate and loud, but they do know their stuff, for the most part. Most Michigan fans have been following the program for a long time and they've been through plenty of ups and downs as a fanbase.

The ones that stuck it out through the Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke years were rewarded with a national title under Jim Harbaugh in 2023 even if their rivals believe it was tainted by Connor Stalions.

Michigan fans take the No. 1 spot this year because, well, no one quite loves and defends their program to the death the way they do.
