This was the first Nick Saban team to win the National Championship in the College Football Playoff era. Although most people might remember this team and the team led by the human wrecking ball that is Derrick Henry.

I put this Alabama team over the 2017 Alabama team because I believe the wins they had were more impressive. They beat a No.2 ranked LSU team 30-16 where Henry rushed for 236 yards. They also beat a No. 8 ranked Georgia team easily 38-10 where Calvin Ridley went off for 120 yards on five catches and one touchdown.

In the championship game, Clemson's Deshaun Watson did all he could to beat the Crimson Tide including going 30/47 for 335 yards and two touchdowns. However, that performance was no match for Henry's 158-yard and three-touchdown performance.

On the back of Henry who ran for 2,219 yards in 2015, the Crimson Tide won the National Championship and are ranked eighth on this list.
