- National Championship: Alabama vs. Georgia OT 26-23
- Rose Bowl: No. 3 Georgia 54 No. 2 Oklahoma 48 (2OT)
- Sugar Bowl: No. 4 Alabama 26 No. 1 Clemson 6
If you were to rank the best games of the four-team CFP era, the 2018 National Championship game and the 2018 Rose Bowl would be an easy 1-2. There have been three overtime games in the history of the college football playoff, and two came in the same year.
Alabama knocked off Clemson in the Sugar Bowl and the game was letdown. Clemson was between quarterbacks and started Kelly Bryant against Jalen Hurts and Alabama or else the best CFP year could have been even better.
The other two games absolutely delivered. Sony Michel won it for Georgia in the Rose Bowl against Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma, and Tua Tagovailoa saved the day for Bama in the second half of the national championship game.
