Top 3 NFL Draft Prospects in Hawaii Bowl
By Zachary Levy
1. Sam Pinckney, Wide Receiver for Coastal Carolina
In the NFL Draft this year, there are several Wide Receivers that will be called in the NFL Draft like Harrison Jr, Troy Franklin from Oregon, Rome Odunze from Washington, and Malik Nabers from LSU. In College Football this year, there have been records broken and in this game, there is a player that has done just that. The record breaker is Sam Pinckney from Coastal Carolina. Pinckney broke the most consecutive receptions. Since transferring from Georgia State, Pinckney was the number one option averaging almost 1,000-yard seasons in his two years at Coastal. He has had to deal with many quarterback changes this year due to injuries to Grayson McCall, Jarrett Guest, and Ethan Vasko. Nonetheless, Pinckney has been the go-to target for all of those quarterbacks and hasn’t let any of those guys down.
The Chanticleers have been one of the most dangerous air raid teams in the past few years due to McCall and having talented receivers just like Pinckney. That will be on display during the Hawaii Bowl and fans need to be ready to see Pinckney targeted all the time in this game due to Jared Brown entering the Transfer Portal. After this game, where will you see Pinckney picked in the NFL Draft? I wouldn’t mind seeing Pinckney joining another Coastal Carolina great, Isaiah Likely, with the Baltimore Ravens.
This year’s bowl season is surrounded by a lot of talented teams and players throughout with many of those that have eyes on the NFL Draft. In the Hawaii Bowl, there are more than these three players that could get their names called. Who would you see from this game get called? Who would you like to see on your favorite NFL team after the Draft?
