5. Louisville (Sept. 28)

Jeff Brohm had Louisville absolutely humming last season as the Cardinals were the surprise of the ACC. Unfortunately, they fizzled out near the end of the year, but they'll be back pushing for 9-10 wins again, especially with all the new talent that Brohm is bringing in.

In fact, Louisville is bringing in 26 transfers -- that is not a typo. Among those transfers is former four-star blue-chip quarterback Tyler Shough who has spent time in Oregon and Texas Tech and is looking for a fresh start. I can see him having a ton of success at Louisville in 2024. This game, however, he will struggle.

Prediction: Win (4-1)

6. Stanford (Oct. 12)

Troy Taylor's first season at Stanford wasn't exactly a resounding success as the Cardinal went just 3-9 overall and 2-7 in conference play, but now they're heading to the ACC where they could fare better.

There's some talent on the returning roster which makes me believe that the Cardinal could push for a bowl game this season, but they are absolutely not going into South Bend for one of their wins. This one will be all Notre Dame.

Prediction: Win (5-1)
