Where is the CFP Championship Game being played in 2025 and beyond?

Here is your guide to where the College Football Playoff will be played in its first year of being a 12-team playoff.

The College Football Playoff will no longer be just a four-team event. The playoff is expanding to 12 teams in 2025. In the last year of the four-team field, the playoff was played in Houston, Texas at NRG Stadium.

Going forward there are only two set venues for the 2025 and 2026 College Football Playoff Championships. Here is your guide to when and where the playoff games will be played.

2025 College Football Playoff

The beginning round of the new 12-team playoff will include four of the New Year's Six bowls.

  • VRBO Fiesta Bowl: Tuesday, December 31
  • Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl: Wednesday, January 1
  • The Rose Bowl: Wednesday January 1
  • Allstate Sugar Bowl: Wednesday, January 1

The Semifinals will consist of the last two New Year's Six Bowl games.

  • Capital One Orange Bowl: Thursday, January 9
  • Good Year Cotton Bowl: Friday, January 10

The National Championship is set to be played on Monday, January 19 in Atlanta, Georgia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

2026 College Football Playoff

First Round:

  • Good Year Cotton Bowl: Wednesday, December 31
  • Capital One Orange Bowl: Thursday, January 1
  • The Rose Bowl: Thursday, January 1
  • Allstate Sugar Bowl: Thursday, January 1

Semifinal Round:

  • VRBO Fiesta Bowl: Thursday, January 8
  • Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl: Friday, January 9

The National Championship will be played on Monday, January 20 in Miami, Florida at Hard Rock Stadium.
