It has been a huge week on the

recruiting trail

for the Arizona State Sun Devils already. Not only did Arizona State get a

commitment from 4-Star outside linebacker Khaylan Thomas

but they landed the country’s top junior college linebacker prospect in 4-Star Davon Durant.

Durant committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks back in July. He originally attended  Greenwood High School in Greenwood, South Carolina but had to go the junior college route, choose Butler Community College in Kansas. The 6’2, 240-pounder has an NFL body now and looks ready to contribute as soon as he steps on campus at Arizona State.

Durant is ranked as the country’s best junior college linebacker prospect, the third-best junior college prospect in the state of Kansas and the seventh-best overall junior college prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Durant also holds offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini, Kansas Jayhawks, Ole Miss Rebels and South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.

Arizona State now has 15 commitments. Their class ranks 23rd nationally and fourth in the Pac-12.
