Opening night 2013 has arrived, and there are no shortage of games from which to choose. Want to binge on as much college football as you can? Rhetorical question — of course you do. And SaturdayBlitz.com has you covered with the below College Football Channel Guide. Every Thursday night start time and channel/online live stream link is cataloged for your convenience.
• North Carolina at South Carolina, 6 ET/3 PT: ESPN
DirecTV 206 | Dish 140 | U-Verse 602/1602
• Liberty at Kent State, 6 ET/3 PT: ESPN3.com
• Presbyterian at Wake Forest, 6:30 ET/3:30 PT: ESPN3.com
• Indiana State at Indiana, 7 ET/4 PT: Big Ten Network (Alt.)
DirecTV 610a | Dish 439 | U-Verse 692/1692
• Tulsa at Bowling Green, 7 ET/4 PT: ESPNU
DirecTV 208 | Dish 141 | U-Verse 605/1605
Reason To Watch: The Golden Hurricane and Falcons were two of the better non-AQ teams a season ago, and figure to be in the hunt for their respective conference championships. Tulsa’s high-powered offense poses a threat to Bowling Green’s outstanding defense, and vice versa.
• UNLV at Minnesota, 7 ET/4 PT: Big Ten Network
DirecTV 610 | Dish 439 | U-Verse 650/1650
• Illinois State at Ball State, 7 ET/4 PT: ESPN3.com
• Pikeville at Morehead State, 7 ET/4 PT: OVC Digital
• Akron at UCF, 7 ET/4 PT: ESPN3.com
• Robert Morris at Eastern Kentucky, 7 ET/4 PT: OVC Digital
Reason To Watch: Former Penn State quarterback Paul Jones is lining up under center for RMU. His Colonial debut coming in the Kentucky is a funny coincidence — you may remember Jones joining his fellow RMU students in rushing the court after the university’s basketball team stunned Kentucky in last March’s NIT. Both teams are also legitimate FCS playoff contenders.
• Southern Utah at South Alabama, 7:30 ET/4:30 PT: ESPN3.com
• Towson at Connecticut, 7:30 ET/4:30 PT: ESPN3.com
• Utah State at Utah, 8 ET/5 PT: FOX Sports 1
DirecTV 219 | Dish 150 | U-Verse 652/1652
Reason To Watch: Utah State finished 11-2 last season, including its first win over Utah in 15 years. Aggie quarterback Chuckie Keeton is one of the most exciting, under-the-radar players in the nation.
• Jackson State at Tulane, 8 ET/5 PT: Tulane All-Access
• Cumberland at Tennessee Tech, 8 ET/5 PT: OVC Digital
• Valparaiso at North Dakota, 8 ET/5 PT: FOX College Sports Channel
DirecTV 608 | U-Verse 648 | America One
• Monmouth at Montana State, 9 ET/6 PT: America One
• Ole Miss at Vanderbilt, 9:15 ET/6:15 PT: ESPN
DirecTV 206 | Dish 140 | U-Verse 602/1602
• Eastern Oregon at Portland State, 10 ET/7 PT: America One
• Rutgers at Fresno State, 10:30 ET/7:30 PT: ESPNU
DirecTV 208 | Dish 141 | U-Verse 605/1605
Reason To Watch: Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr was one of the nation’s top passers in 2012, and a dark horse Heisman candidate in 2013. A big game against the Rutgers defense would set him on the right course.
• USC at Hawaii, 11 ET/8 PT: CBS Sports Network
DirecTV 613 | Dish 158 | U-Verse 643/1643
