Florida RB Matt Jones left the Gators’ game at LSU with an injury.
CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson verified that Jones apparently suffered an injury, though she did not have details on it.
Jones ran the ball four times on Florida’s first drive, helping to lead the Gators to a field goal. However, Jones hasn’t had a carry since the initial possession.
Florida does not give injury updates. It’s unknown what injury Jones might have sustained, how severe it might be or whether or when he might be able to return.
With Jones out, RBs Mack Brown and Kelvin Taylor have gotten the carries. Brown has registered 56 yards on 14 carries. Taylor has gained 16 yards on four attempts.
Florida’s offense has struggled to mount any substantive attack, accumulating just 156 yards of total offense with the game nearing the end of the third quarter.
LSU leads the Gators 14-3.
