Week 2 of the college football season caused a bit of a shakeup in the Saturday Blitz Conference Power Rankings. Unfortunately, the SEC and Big 12 didn’t give us much to go on thanks to awful scheduling, but we still learned a lot about the college football world.
An unlikely conference is now providing some competition for the top spot. Another conference barely looks like it belongs in the Power Five. And on any normal day, you would think these conferences should be reversed in their positions. But two weeks into the college football season, a few big games have changed the way we are looking at certain teams and conferences.

Certain unlikely mid-major conferences are looking impressive as well, while others are disappointing.
And on top of everything, there are now two independents making a strong case to be national title contenders in Notre Dame and BYU.
So here are our Week 2 Conference Power Rankings. And note that we did not take any advice from Bob Stoops on where the Big 12 or SEC belong.
