2. ACC
Yes, the ACC has earned its place as the second best conference in college football. Ahead of the Pac 12, ahead of the Big 12, and certainly ahead of the Big Ten, this conference has impressed everybody so far.
Florida State obviously still exist and from a talent standpoint is still one of the top two teams in the country. Louisville is making a serious run in the ACC Atlantic as well. Then you have Virginia Tech, who appears to be back with Beamer Ball. The Hokies’ victory over Ohio State Saturday was more impressive than Oregon’s victory over Michigan State if you actually watched both games. It’s enough to put the ACC ahead of the Pac 12 for now.Â
Add in the fact that North Carolina, Duke, Miami, and Clemson are all legitimate Top 25 teams while Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Virginia are legitimate bowl teams, and you have a very solid and deep conference. It belongs in the No. 2 spot for now.
