7. Mountain West ConferenceÂ
The Mountain West Conference scored a nice Friday night victory against what was supposed to be a good Pac 12 team in Washington State thanks to Nevada. The only other losses it had throughout the weekend were to Power Five teams, which is acceptable, so the Mountain West has earned its spot ahead of the AAC just like the Conference USA has.
True, it was bad some of the losses were blowouts, and some of the wins were very easy ones to come by, but going 3-5 in non-conference games when 6 of those 8 games were against Power Five teams isn’t bad.
