It’s tough to get a read on the Beavers, who beat Portland State by a less than impressive 29-14, and then won at Hawai’i by a touchdown on Saturday. Mike Riley has never been one to burnish his ego running up the score on FCS opponents and games at Hawai’i tend to be wonky, so it’s tough to say what these results mean.
It’s worth nothing that OSU put up 38 points on a Hawai’i defense that allowed only 17 to UW the week before, but that was UW without Cyler Miles. It’s an “Incomplete” grade for the Beavers so far.
