Mississippi State Jumps Into Top 5 in Saturday Blitz Week 4 Top 25 Rankings
Saturday Blitz Top 25 Countdown Week 4
The Top 25 is finally starting to take shape. After two consecutive weekends of shocking upsets, blowout wins, and thrilling victories, we are finally starting to see who the true contenders and pretenders are.
We have realized that the SEC West is as good as advertised after Mississippi State beat LSU in Death Valley and Auburn once again proved itself against Kansas State. The Big Ten finally showed that it’s not as bad as it has looked. Well, except for Michigan.

And a week before conference play begins, we finally have a non-Power Five conference team that has cracked the Top 25 and two independents in there as well. All three have shown how good they are with convincing wins over Power Five conference teams, to the point that one of them even has a loss but still belongs in our Top 25 .
The cream of the crop, though, belongs with two conferences: The SEC and the Pac 12. Although one team from the SEC, Missouri, had to be dropped from the rankings, it was replaced by another SEC team that shocked the college football world late Saturday night. There are still eight teams in the Top 25 from that conference.
The Pac 12, meanwhile, has six teams in our Top 25 and could easily have two more, which shows how deep the conference is. Those two conferences make up more than half of the Top 25, but the ACC, Big 12, and Big Ten still have decent showings in the ranking.
So here is the Saturday Blitz Week 4 Top 25, and we can assure you we feel better about these rankings than we did last week.
