Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Predictions Week 6

Wake Forest Demon Deacons at No. 1 Florida State Seminoles

Line: Florida State by 38

The Florida State Seminoles have proven to us that they play down to their opponents. So what does that mean for Saturday? Against the team that is right now the worst team in the ACC, are they going to have a hideous, ugly win? Could it even be a loss? To avoid any of this, the Seminoles should put together a complete game for once. The defense has to prove that it is better than it was last week, and with how bad Wake Forest’s offense is, there’s no excuse for it to struggle at all this weekend. On offense, Jameis Winston is obviously great, but he needs to be a little bit more accurate on his throws instead of letting Rashad Greene bail him out so much. That could be a problem against a decent Wake Forest defense.

In order to pull off this upset, though, the first thing Wake Forest needs is luck. And lots of it. Let’s not sit here and pretend that there is any sort of science that could give this team the edge over the best team in the country. But the Demon Deacons do have a decent defense. They need to find a way to force FSU into turning the ball over, which is the only chance they have of not getting blown out. Then, the offense has to do the impossible and move the ball somehow.

Prediction

Wake Forest, as it’s been said all year, is going to be awful with Dave Clawson’s offense this year the way every team is awful with his offense. And Florida State’s offense will look like, well, Florida State’s offense. In short, the Demon Deacons have no chance. This will be a blowout from the start in every way. It’s not even worth explaining in detail.

Florida State: 45 Wake Forest: 0
