Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel threw three interceptions and was benched in favor of true freshman Treon Harris. Harris completed two-of-four passes and provided a spark for the Florida offense and helped them rally for a 10-9 victory.

On Monday, Florida cancelled Will Muchamp’s press conference, fueling rumors that he or someone on his staff may be fired.

Instead, the cancellation involved Treon Harris.

First, David Jones of The Florida Today reported Treon Harris is being investigated for a crime but no charges have been filed. Then, Zach Abolverdi of Gator Sports reported Treon Harris would be suspended indefinitely.

Finally, it was revealed that Treon Harris had been accused of sexual battery. Treon Harris reportedly sexually assaulted a female student in an on-campus residence hall.

Florida has since released a statement from the school president.

“We have no tolerance for sexual assault on our campus,” UF president Bernie Machen said in a statement. “The university is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for every member of the UF community. We must strive to protect all of our students from sexual harassment and assault, and do everything in our power to promote a safe learning environment.”
