Jermaine Whitehead reportedly got into an altercation with an assistant coach and has missed the Tiger’s last three games – wins over the Kansas State Wildcats, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and LSU Tigers.
Some believed Jermaine Whitehead may return to action Saturday when the second-ranked Tigers travel to Starkville to take on the third-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs.
According to Brandon Marcello of AL.com, that won’t be the case.
"Malzahn was asked if Whitehead will be available in Starkville. “No, he won’t be,” he said. The senior has not been allowed on Auburn’s sideline over the last three games after he got into a verbal altercation with one of Auburn’s assistant coaches prior to the Tigers’ road game at Kansas State Sept. 18, according to AuburnUndercover.com."
The Tigers and Bulldogs will kick-off at 3:30 pm EST and the game is on CBS.
