Cincinnati Bearcats’ quarterback Gunner Kiel left the Bearcats’ 41-14 loss to the Memphis Tigers last week with bruised ribs and he is listed as doubtful for their match up with the Miami Hurricanes this week.
In fact, Cincinnati head coach Tommy Tuberville doesn’t see Gunner Kiel playing.
“I don’t see him playing,” Tuberville said via Tom Groeschen of Cincinnati.com. “He’s not much better than he was. I’m not going to put him out there if he’s not close to 100 percent. If Gunner plays it would be a limited role anyway.”
That means the Bearcats will turn to Munchie Legaux or junior Jarred Evans. Legaux was the starter and has made 14 career starts but he suffered a torn ACL last season.
The Bearcats and Hurricanes will kick-off from Sun Life Stadium at noon EST on Saturday.
