Saturday Blitz Week 6 Pac 12 Power Rankings

This should give you the idea of just how deep the Pac 12 is. Colorado could easily be 4-2 right now after incredibly close losses to Oregon State and Cal in back to back weeks. This team has made significant strides since that opening game loss to Colorado State, and it really is very close to turning the corner.

The Buffaloes have a great passing game with Sefo Liufau, and he threw for another 300 yards and 2 touchdowns last Saturday. Really having Nelson Spruce as such a weapon has been invaluable, and that makes this passing game very difficult to stop. But it’s the only thing difficult to stop. Colorado is still having a tough time establishing the running game, and the defense is what we hate about the Pac 12 put on steroid. It’s pathetic. It has allowed nearly 36 points a game this year, and if it was halfway decent this team could be 5-1.

Unfortunately for the Buffaloes, it’s going to be very hard to make a bowl game in this year’s Pac 12. They have already suffered losses they can’t have in Oregon State and Cal. But the team is continually getting better, and it bodes well for their future.

Eventually, they won’t be last in these power rankings.
