Saturday Blitz Week 6 Big 12 Power Rankings

Things weren’t looking any better for the Jayhawks this past weekend under interim head coach Clint Bowen. The firing of Charlie Weis wasn’t going to make any difference for a program in such disarray this year. And it showed after the loss to West Virginia.

Kansas still has no passing game to speak of and is only averaging 15 points a game, which is absolutely pathetic. There is no bright spot on this team right now. They could be ranked ahead of Iowa State, but their schedule is a heck of a lot easier, and their 2 wins are completely meaningless. This looks like by far the worst team in the Big 12, and that’s where they are being placed for the time being.

With Oklahoma State and Baylor in two of the next three weeks, things don’t look like they are going to get any better any time soon either. They play Texas Tech in between those two games, and Iowa State is on down the road, so there are at least a couple of games to show that they might not be the worst team in the conference.

But we’re not giving them that respect yet.
