Boston College Eagles at Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Line: Boston College by 12

The Boston College Eagles have been surprisingly much better than we thought. Steve Addazio’s team was supposed to be rebuilding this year, but that clearly hasn’t been the case. Against a Wake Forest team Saturday that plays absolutely no offense, the Eagles need to simply stick to their game plan. Run it. Run it a lot. Run it down the Demon Deacons’ throat. Sure, they play good defense, but the Eagles should still be able to sustain a few drives by doing that, and it’s not like Wake’s offense can score. So there’s really nothing fancy that the Eagles need to do to win.

    • Wake, meanwhile, has to worry about finding some sort of way to score. Dave Clawson’s offense is going through the obvious first-year transition that all of his teams have gone through, which is why they have been so bad his first year, but that excuse isn’t going to help them beat the Eagles. Without some miracle decent showing by the offense on Saturday, there’s no way they win this game, even with a decent defense. Their only hope after that is a bunch of fluke, crazy turnovers. And that’s very unlikely.

    Prediction

    Boston College is going to have no trouble pulling away in this game. The requirements to win are too simple, so we have this team running away with an easy victory.
