Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction:

Ole Miss Wins Rebels

Sorry Tide fans, but you’re going to have to wait another week at least before the Rebels fall. Yes, Ole Miss has a terrible quarterback. Yes, they lost star linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche.

We’re still betting on this defense to get the win.

Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt are superstars and should both be All-American defensive backs at the end of the year. They will give Gus Malzahn and Nick Marshall fits all day because Ole Miss doesn’t have to be complex to stop the Auburn passing game. Meanwhile, Serderius Bryant will be coming in in place of Nkemdiche, and Bryant is a senior who was one of the best players on the defense last year. So maybe this is just him getting the opportunity he rightly deserved in the first place.

Taking all of that into account, and adding in the fact that different Auburn teams are showing up each week, we are going to go with the Rebels in Oxford thanks to an interception by Prewitt and Golson each, a great game by Bryant, and then enough efficiency by Bo Wallace on offense.

Look for a big play from Laquon Treadwell as well to bail Wallace out.

Ole Miss: 17 Auburn: 13
