Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction: Virginia Tech Wins 24-20

This is the hardest game to pick of the weekend, but the Virginia Tech Hokies seem the most likely to pull this one off.

Boston College has surprised everybody by playing so well after Steve Addazio had to replace so many people his second year, and Tyler Murphy has looked like a Heisman candidate so far. But the Hokies have shown that the one thing they can do consistently is defend a running quarterback well enough to win.

Georgia Tech doesn’t count because even there they got beat through the air.

Despite losing two games, Michael Brewer has still gotten better on cutting down on his turnovers, and he should continue to progress. With this game at home, Virginia Tech should be able to come away with the victory.

Beamer Ball will get the Hokies a touchdown somewhere through special teams this game, and Brewer will throw for 2 touchdowns to get the win. Virginia Tech won’t fall to a losing record on the season. The offense and defense come through just enough for them to get the win.
