Welcome to an epic late-season slate of Big Ten games. While the conference embarrassed itself earlier in the year, this is the time of year when it shines, playing cold-weather football in the sleet and snow.
And this weekend, all 14 teams are playing each other in conference games. As we analyze these games in our Week 13 Vegas Big Ten Predictions, the highlight of the show is the Big Ten West.
Wisconsin thrust itself back to relevancy in pretty heavy fashion last week in a dominant win over Nebraska. Now, their grueling Big Ten West November stretch continues against Iowa. Meanwhile, Nebraska and Minnesota both want to rebound after losing to ranked teams last week, and one of them will as they play each other.
That’s three of four teams ranked in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee Top 25 playing each other, all from one division. Now that is some fun.
But it’s not all the fun.

Northwestern-Purdue could be a battle for worst in the Big Ten, Penn State-Illinois is a fight between one bowl-eligible team trying to add to its rankings and another team trying desperately to get bowl eligible.
In a similar situation, Maryland travels to Michigan in hopes of adding to its bowl resume, while the Wolverines try desperately to get bowl eligible.
And finally, Rutgers-Michigan State is a game between a ranked team and a very good unranked team that will be looking to pull of an upset. So, the only game that doesn’t immediately look on paper is Ohio State-Indiana.
Simply put, this Big Ten slate is pretty loaded, even if there are very few College Football Playoff indications. Conference championship implications can be just as exciting this time of year, and that’s exactly what is going to be playing out on Friday.
So with a healthy level of excitement for November Midwestern football, here are our Vegas Big Ten Predictions for Week 13 of the college football season.
