TCU-Baylor Debate as Unclear as Ever After Horned Frogs Beat Texas 48-10
Where do we go from here?
After dominating Texas 48-10 on the road on Saturday, the TCU Horned Frogs look like a College Football Playoff team. With wins against Texas, Kansas State, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and even Minnesota out of conference, their 10-1 record looks very impressive.
Trevone Boykin looked decent Thursday against a great defense, but the TCU defense looked dominant as they forced 6 Texas turnovers, 5 of which came from Tyrone Swoopes.
So not only do the Horned Frogs pass the resume test. They pass the eye test.
So where does that leave the TCU-Baylor debate? Completely unclear and up in the air, that’s where.
The Horned Frogs clearly have the better resume than the Bears outside of when they played each other. They played a very tough non-conference schedule while Baylor’s schedule strength is worse than that of some FCS schools. They both dominated Big 12 play.
But Baylor got ran off the field at West Virginia, where TCU won 31-30.
