Jim Harbaugh Expected to Be Named Next Head Coach at Michigan
By Jerry Levi
On Sunday, after winning their final regular season game at Levi’s Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers and the coach Jim Harbaugh mutually agreed to part ways. The 49ers won against Arizona 20-17. Ironically, including his playoff record, Harbaugh was 49-22-1 in his time at San Francisco. So what’s next for Jim Harbaugh? Although Jim Harbaugh won’t comment specifically about the head coaching job at Michigan, many expect he will be named the next head coach there as early as Tuesday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
"Multiple people also insist that Harbaugh has no deal or agreement with Michigan at this time, even though Michigan officials are now in the Bay area, waiting to meet with the man they want to hire as quickly as possible. Michigan officials believe they will be taking Harbaugh and his wife to Ann Arbor with them on Monday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.According to ESPN sources and multiple reports, some Michigan officials have indicated that the school would be introducing its new coach Tuesday at a press conference and at the 3 p.m. basketball game with Illinois.Harbaugh has also called multiple assistant coaches to gauge their interest in joining him at Michigan, sources tell ESPN’s John Clayton."
So what seems cut and dried to be the next head man with the Wolverines almost sounds too easy. Easy enough to be swayed one way or another. One story even has the Oakland Raiders as trying to nab Harbaugh into staying in the Bay Area, a place he has called home basically since his first year at Stanford in 2007.

Chants of ‘Fire Brady!’ (in reference to Head Coach Brady Hoke) were heard just about every Saturday in Ann Arbor until Hoke was let go. Now that the Wolverines have Jim Harbaugh in their sights, and the feeling seems mutual, it could be roses for the future of Michigan Football…
