Jim Harbaugh and Jim McElwain are taking over football powers at Michigan and Florida, respectively, after the a couple of down season at the traditional powerhouses, but which one will have more success in their first year on the job?

Michigan is coming off a 5-7 season that saw Brady Hoke lose his job after hitting rock bottom in Ann Arbor while Florida is coming off a 7-5 season that saw Will Muschamp lose his job and didn’t get to coach the Gators in the Birmingham Bowl that was coached by D.J. Durkin who is now Harbaugh’s defensive coordinator at Michigan, coincidentally enough.
Both programs have questions at the quarterback position and need an infusion of talent in the next couple of recruiting classes before they’re competing for national championship again, but there is hope that both will be in a bowl game this year.
