2. Who will get the majority of the carries at running back?

This question may not even have an answer as the two may be splitting carries or riding the hot hand depending on the performance or game. The favorite in my eyes however is J.C. Coleman as he is the upperclassmen and should get the benefit of the doubt unless someone does something spectacular to unseat him from that position.

Coleman is a smaller back listed at 5’7” and 194 lbs so he may not be able to handle the full workload, but he is very fast and extremely quick making him a very good third down back as well as being able to run on early downs.

Marshawn Williams however is a bigger back listed at 5’11” and 229 lbs, clearly providing the thunder to Coleman’s lightning. Williams may be the better choice to get carries on short yardage situations and when running the clock out to try to get extra yards, but Coleman give the team more options as far as pass catching and his work with screens.

This game will go a long way towards seeing how the coaches view this position and who they have confidence in.
