LSU ends their spring practice with the annual spring game inside Tiger Stadium on Saturday and these are the top five storylines to watch.
The LSU Tigers’ 8-5 2014 record and fifth place SEC West finish is out of the ordinary for an LSU squad used to competing for SEC championships and they need a positive spring to get momentum back for a potentially promising year in 2015.

A big part of last year’s struggles can be attributed to youth. LSU started a number of underclassmen during the 2014 campaign, as the team struggled to fill the vacancies left by the constant early departures to the NFL, like Odell Beckham Jr, Jarvis Landry and Jeremy Hill.
Heading into 2015, the Tigers do not lose the usual king’s ransom of talent to the pros, so there is hope that with one season under its belt, this young LSU squad will be able to take the next step and improve in 2015. LSU always recruits well, and there are some stars-in-the-making that could really make their mark in 2015 (Leonard Fournette, for one).
While the defense is not expected to have a significant drop-off, the offense must make strides if the Tigers hope to make 2015 a season to remember. Les Miles’ seat is not hot, but it could get conceivably warmer if the Tigers don’t deliver results in 2015. Here are five things to watch as LSU heads into Saturday’s spring game.
