Ohio State Buckeyes 2015 Spring Game: Five things we learned

When Nick Saban was hired at Alabama, the Tide fan base showed up for his first spring game. Saban saw 92,000 fans in attendance for it in 2007.
And we thought that could never be topped.
The Ohio State Buckeyes proved us wrong on Saturday, as they drew 99,391 fans to the Gray vs. Scarlet game, shattering the spring game record. Fans are as hungry for a repeat as they were for that first title.

And with a bunch of crazy plays and calls that made the game look like backyard football, fans were also treated to a close game as the Gray team won 17-14.
Ohio State was obviously cursed with injuries en route to their unlikely national championship season last year, so in order to repeat this year with much higher expectations and confidence levels, they need to get healthy.
Urban Meyer obviously knew that and exercised extreme caution on Saturday. Two of the three quarterbacks in competition did not even play, which was obvious after injuries last year. And other stars in the lineup did not play either.
But there were still things to take away from this, so here are the five things we learned from the Ohio State Buckeyes spring game Saturday.
