According to the Gainesville police report, Jackson entered the apartment of the victim with two other males and once inside, he left, but the two people he was with pulled out a gun and robbed the resident and two of his friends of their money, Xbox and marijuana.
Jackson was a four-star recruit out of Immokalee, FL. and redshirted as a freshman in 2014 after aggravating a shoulder he previously had surgery on prior to arriving in Gainesville.
First-year head coach Jim McElwain can make a swift and just decision by dismissing Jackson from the program and sending a message to the rest of his team that if you break the law, especially when guns and drugs are involved, you’re not going to be a member of the Gators football team.
Plus, cornerback is an area of strength with All-American Vernon Hargreaves, Brian Poole, Quincy Wilson and Jalen Tabor returning.
