This will be the second meeting between the two programs and the first since Auburn beat Oregon in the championship game behind the efforts of Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Cam Newton and running back Michael Dyer who was the game’s MVP.

Oregon played in the AdvoCare Classic when they opened the 2011 season against LSU and played Ohio State in last season’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game. This is the first time Auburn will play in AT&T Stadium and the AdvoCare Classic.

Auburn has already taken a shot at Oregon with this video remembering what happened the last time the two teams took the field against each other.

This is the next in a line of great matchups for the AdvoCare Classic with Alabama and Wisconsin playing this year, Alabama playing USC in 2016, Florida taking on Michigan in 2017 and LSU meeting Miami in 2018.
