Big 12 media days are right around the corner and the conference released the names of players who are attending and will be speak to the media this year.

As the dog days of summer begin to heat up, so to do the college football media days.

The Big 12 announced who will attend the two-day media extravaganza held on July 20-21, and it is sure not to disappoint.

Some highlights include the appearance of TCU’s Trevone Boykin, who is now the favorite to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy, and Baylor’s Shawn Oakman who, measuring at 6-foot-9, 280 pounds, will be hard to miss.

This media day should be particularly interesting as Boykin will probably have a chance to talk about being the new favorite to win the Heisman, and the Sooners will be asked a variety of questions about the quarterback competition.

The full list of attendees is as follows:

Baylor: DL Andrew Billings, WR Corey Coleman, OT Spencer Drango, DE Shawn Oakman

Iowa State: WR Quenton Bundrage, QB Sam B. Richardson, DB Sam E. Richardson

Kansas: DE Ben Goodman, TE Ben Johnson, OL Jordan Shelley-Smith

Kansas State: DB Dante Barnett, DB Morgan Burns, OL Cody Whitehair

Oklahoma: C Ty Darlington, QB Trevor Knight, WR Sterling Shepard, LB Eric Striker

Oklahoma State: WR David Glidden, LB Seth Jacobs, DE Emmanuel Ogbah, CB Kevin Peterson

Texas: CB Duke Thomas, RB Jonathan Gray, OL Taylor Doyle

Texas Tech: C Jared Kaster, DL Branden Jackson, RB DeAndre Washington

West Virginia: S Karl Joseph, LB Nick Kwiatkoski, OL Tyler Orlosky, RB Wendell Smallwood

This may be one of the more entertaining media days for the Big 12 that we have seen in a long time and I am very excited to see what types of questions will be asked and answered. Will the media ask generic questions or will there be a select few who will push the envelope a bit to get a good soundbite or quote?

My guess is that there will be a mix of both, because as fans know, no stone is left unturned at media days.
