Davis named the Buckeyes his leaders back on June 18, a little more than a year after being offered by the program on May 6, 2014, and more than half a year after taking a visit to Columbus on September 27.
With this commitment, the Buckeye 2016 class ranks No. 3 nationally and is No. 1 in the Big Ten per the 247Sports team rankings. Davis is the 14th four-star commitment overall and the second cornerback along with Kareem Fielder (Baltimore, MD. St. Frances Academy).
As I watched his film, one thing stuck out to me. His ability to stay on top of this man was excellent. He did a nice job of not letting his receiver get on top of him to make the play. He kept the play in front of him, keeping his hips square and turning around at the last possible second to make the play and avoid a penalty.
