Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones was at the ESPYs and although he didn’t win anything, he tried to walk away with a consolation prize of Ronda Rousey and Kendall Jenner.
Cardale Jones made a meteoric rise to fame last year when he started the year as the third-string quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes and finished it with the national championship trophy in his hands after starting for an injured J.T. Barrett.

Jones rise to stardom coincided with his rise to prominence on Twitter where he’s one of the more active college football players on the social media channel and he’s not ashamed to put himself out there.
He was at the ESPYs on Wednesday night where he was nominated for breakthrough athlete of the year and Ohio State was nominated for team of the year, but despite coming up empty handed, he tried to end the night on a high note and confessed his love and fear of Ronda Rousey.

Soooooooo @RondaRousey what you doing after the show?

When Rousey didn’t respond to Jones’ tweets, the Buckeye quarterback went through his progressions, read the field, and targeted Kendall Jenner as the next object of his affection.
@KendallJenner heard you here? What section?

Jones struck out again and went 0-2 in his Twitter courtships as well as going 0-2 in the awards he was nominated, but it’s not a total loss, he does have a shiny ring on his finger for his efforts against Oregon in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
It’s not like Jones is the first dude to get shut down from the opposite sex on Twitter either and he won’t be the last.
