The Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions took place on Sunday and with that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish tied the USC Trojans for the most in Canton, OH.

With their inclusion in the Hall, Notre Dame is now tied with rival USC for the most players from the program in the Hall of Fame with 12.

The Trojans matched the Irish with 12 of their own after Junior Seau was posthumously inducted and became the first USC player inducted since Bruce Matthews in 2007. The next Trojan to get inducted will likely be former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu who retired this offseason.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have the third most in the HOF with nine members, including Cris Carter who was inducted in 2013. Their rival, the Michigan Wolverines are in fourth place with eight with Ralph Wilson, Jr. the last to go in when he was enshrined in 2009. They can make a move for the top spot in the coming years with worthy candidates like Tom Brady, Charles Woodson, Ty Law and Steve Hutchinson.

Pittsburgh checks in with eight as well after they had Chris Doleman and Curtis Martin go in together in 2012.
