The five most important games for the LSU Tigers in 2015 as they look to get back to the top of the SEC West standings after a disappointing 2014 campaign.

The Bayou Bengals have been mugged by the NFL over the course of the last few years resulting in a group of young inexperienced players taking the field. That said, the LSU Tigers have managed to win eight-plus games in the last 15 seasons straight and have managed to get to double-digit wins seven of the 10 years that Les Miles has been the head coach.

Prior to Miles, the Tigers have only reached double-digit wins at total of seven times in the history of their program but despite the history the pressure to win is greater than ever for this 2015 group with what is perceived by many to be a much easier path schedule wise.

Offensively the questions have been surrounded at the quarterback position since the departure of Zach Mettenberger. Sophomore Brandon Harris looks to be the leader under center going into 2015 given the suspension and return of Anthony Jennings. Last year’s starter will have to work his way out of the dog house to get back on the field. That should ease the pressure on Harris and allow him to feel confident in leading this team to a possible SEC Championship berth.

At the running back position the Tigers will be led by Heisman hopeful Leonard Fournette but unlike in year’s past LSU won’t have the upperclassmen at the position to lean on. That said, fellow sophomore Darrel Williams has shown glimpses of his abilities and a stock of incoming freshmen Derrius Guice and Nick Brossette.

The wide receiver position looks to be loaded again with quality depth. Malachi Dupre, Travin Dural and John Diarse will be looked upon to lead the unit that will have more experience than last year’s. Look for sophomore Trey Quinn to have a possible breakout year.

Defensively, the Tigers will lean on defensive tackles Davon Godchaux and Christian LaCouture and linebacker Kendell Beckwith to be dominant players up the middle. The secondary is the area where LSU shines the most, as they tend to do, with Tre’Davious White, Jamal Adams and Jalen Mills.

So now that you have the skinny on the Tigers let’s take a look at the must-see games of the 2015 season.
