Darron Lee was clearly one of Ohio State’s breakout players in 2014, who could do the same in 2015?
One of the best and worst thing about college football is every year you have new players. Due to NCAA rules college players only have five years to play four years in their respective sports, so turnover is usually pretty big at most schools every year.

It would be nice if, like the NFL, a school could just throw money at players to keep them from leaving. How cool would it be if Eddie George got to play for OSU for 15 years? But I digress because that is not the system we have. Even though Ohio State returns a lot of players from their national championship team there are a few new starters who become this years breakout players.
In 2014 Ohio State was replacing a lot of players and it opened up the chances for new breakout players. The list of breakout players from the 2014 season is extremely impressive. It included players like J.T. Barrett, Cardale Jones, Ezekiel Elliott, and Darron lee.
There are many other examples, but I think you get the point. The 2015 team is returning 17 starters so there aren’t going to be as many new breakout players this season. That is not to say though that there aren’t some diamonds in the rough who emerge as the season goes on though.
Who are the players I think could potentially become stars for Ohio State in 2015? Lets take a look at my list of top five breakout players for Ohio State in 2015.
