On the offensive side of the ball, the first year head coach is trying to find players that can help the offense become consistent. With the struggles of the past few seasons, the Florida offense isn’t just going to take off and become a high-octane offense. It’s going to need players that can learn Jim McElwain’s offense and take some of the pressure off the defense.

The defense is full of players that have proven they can be one of the nation’s best. As new defensive coordinator Geoff Collins comes in, those players will once again be counted on to carry the team. The defensive scheme won’t change much from what Will Muschamp ran, but look for it to try to cause more havoc and create turnovers. Any way to give a struggling offense more chances to score is a good thing in year one.

Here are the five most important players for 2015 that Jim McElwain can count on to have a successful season.
