Georgia Bulldogs

The way many people talk about Georgia, you would think they had a terrible 2014 season. They actually went a respectable 10-3 but the puzzling thing about the Bulldogs is their propensity to lose to teams they should beat. For example, last season they lost 20-38 to Florida. The perception of Georgia has more to do with their inability to live up to their full potential than their season’s body of work.

The Todd Gurley era in Athens is over, but running back Nick Chubb is ready to take as many carries as possible. While it might be hard to imagine, Chubb has the ability to be even better than Gurley for Georgia. See his bowl performance against Louisville where he rushed for 266 yards and two touchdowns.

Book a trip to Atlanta: Georgia must win October. What does that mean? The Bulldogs start off the month playing Alabama then are at Tennessee, play Missouri and head to Jacksonville to play rival Florida. Their ability to win the conference hinges on how they perform in October.

How do they win October? Like many other SEC teams, they have to get stable production from the quarterback position. Currently, Georgia has not named a starting quarterback and no one seems to have an edge in the position battle.

They have the running game to keep them in games, but the players around Nick Chubb will decided if they make the short drive from Athens to Atlanta come December.
