Ronda Rousey wanted Cardale Jones to start for Ohio State, and then he did (Video)

Ronda Rousey wants Urban Meyer to start Cardale Jones  over JT Barrett at quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes in their opener against Virginia Tech.

When Ronda Rousey says you should do something, well, you should listen to the baddest woman on the planet. And she has some advice for Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer and who he should start for Ohio State against Virginia Tech.

“If I was the coach at Ohio State, I would pick Cardale Jones as the starting quarterback. Just saying., Rousey said rather matter of factly.”

Meyer hasn’t said who will be starting against the Hokies as they begin their title defense but when the Buckeyes offense took the field for the first time, it was Jones as the starter and he threw a touchdown on the opening possession to give the Buckeyes an early 7-0 lead.

See, if Ronda Rousey wants something done, it gets done.

More from Big Ten

Jones started the Big Ten Championship Game and went 2-0 in the College Football Playoff to help guide the Buckeyes to the national title. He took all the reps in spring practice as Barrett and Braxton Miller recovered from their season-ending injuries.

Meyer has said if you have good players, you need to get your good players on the field so Barrett is likely to get in for some time and spell Rousey’s favorite college quarterback.

Jones has sent several tweets mentioning Rousey in the past, including when the two were at the ESPY’s in the summer when he tried to meet her, so if he sees this video from Rousey, that should be the highlight of his week.
