College GameDay location for Week 2
Rece Davis made his debut as the host of ESPN’s College GameDay last Saturday in Texas for the Alabama-Wisconsin game and did a fine job replacing Chris Fowler who is broadcasting the ABC primetime game for the second year with Kirk Herbstreit.

Herbie is still on GameDay and so is Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and the rest of the gang we’ve fallen in love with as the greatest pre-game show in sports as our lead in to a great Saturday of college football.
College GameDay is setting up in East Lansing, Michigan this weekend for the game between Vernon Adams, Royce Freeman and the No. 7 Oregon Ducks taking on Connor Cook and the No. 5 Michigan State Spartans.

Both teams enter the game 1-0 and this is the first meeting between two top-10 teams this season. GameDay should have nice features on Oregon’s transfer quarterback Adams who was the two-time runner-up for the Walter Payton Award, the FCS equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, at Eastern Washington. He threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns against his former team in the opener and ran for 94 yards before leaving in the fourth quarter after taking a late and cheap hit.
This is the back end of a home-and-home with the two teams and the Spartans are looking to get revenge on the Ducks who fell to Marcus Mariota and Oregon who blitzed them with 28 unanswered points in the second half to win 46-27 and overcome a 28-17 third-quarter deficit.
Mariota threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns and had a 40-yard run in last year’s win while Freeman ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s game. Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook completed 29-of-47 passes for 343 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
GameDay starts at 9:00 p.m. ET and leads into South Florida at Florida State at noon.
