Michigan isn’t having any trouble with BYU on Saturday and De’Veon Smith’s touchdown run is further proof that this team could be better than originally thought.
The Michigan Wolverines honored Derek Jeter prior to the game against the BYU Cougars and it looks like some of the magic the future Hall of Fame shortstop has left in him has rubbed off on the football team.

Michigan scored 24 points in the second quarter to take a 31-0 lead at halftime against the No. 22 Cougars and one of those scores came from running back De’Veon Smith who somehow scored on this run.
Just when you think the BYU defense rallied and made a stop, Smith emerged from the pack of his own linemen and the BYU defense to dash to the end zone for a 60-yard score.

Yeah, I think we will be seeing this run by Smith on all the highlight shows tonight and tomorrow morning because this was pretty special.
With a win for Michigan it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jim Harbaugh’s team end up in the Top 25 tomorrow either.
