College Football Playoff: Predicting playoff field after Week 5
After nearly half of the top 10 lost on Saturday, here’s how the College Playoff Rankings should look after Week 5.
Four teams in the Top 25 lost in Week 5 in what was easily the best weekend of the 2015 college football season. No. 3 Ole Miss, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 7 UCLA and No. 8 Georgia all lost and No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Michigan State and No. 11 Florida State won in the final seconds of their game after getting a scare.

Needless to say, this week’s projected College Football Playoff field is radically different from last week. UCLA and Michigan State were in my playoff field last week, but both the Bruins and Spartans fall out this week. It’s not over for them to get back in, and the same goes for Georgia, Notre Dame or Ole Miss, but things just got a lot harder.
I don’t think the Buckeyes have played the best football this season and think the committee would view them in the same light they saw Florida State last year when they were the undefeated champions but fell to No. 3 in the playoff rankings.
I only have Ohio State falling one spot to No. 2 as the TCU Horned Frogs move into the top spot as quarterback Trevone Boykin looks unstoppable with All-American candidate at wide receiver Josh Doctson.
