As expected, College GameDay is headed back to Alabama for the Nov. 7 game with Leonard Fournette and LSU coming to Tuscaloosa for what shapes up as a SEC elimination game.

The Crimson Tide are a part of GameDay for the third time this year after ESPN took their pregame show to Texas for their neutral site game against Wisconsin in the season opener and were the road team when they played the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Oct. 3.

With LSU undefeated and ranked in the top five and Alabama the best one-loss team in the country, this game could be the game of the year so it makes perfect sense for GameDay to be in attendance for this epic showdown that is almost always decided late.

Both teams have stellar running backs with Fournette and Alabama’s Derrick Henry in the running for the Heisman Trophy but while they get all the attention, it’s the quarterbacks who likely will decide the victor in this game.

LSU’s Brandon Harris and Alabama’s Jake Coker have both made significant improvements in October and have brought some much-needed rhythm and balance to both teams.

As always, both teams are loaded defensively but Alabama has the slight edge and will have home-field advantage as Nick Saban looks to stab another knife in the hearts (backs) of LSU fans with another win over the team he used to coach.

Clemson would have been a nice option considering they’re hosting Florida State this weekend too, but they already hosted when Notre Dame came to town, so you can understand GameDay picking Alabama this week with undefeated LSU coming to town in what is one of the best new-era rivalries in college.
