Report: Florida quarterback Will Grier’s suspension appeal denied
NCAA rejects Florida quarterback Will Grier‘s appeal and will be suspended into 2016.
The NCAA denied the appeal from suspended Florida Gators quarterback Will Grier for failing a drug test and will be suspended into next season.
Grier will not have his suspension reduced per a report from the Orlando Sentinel which means he will not be able to return to the program until the seventh game of the 2016 season when Missouri travels to The Swamp.
The former top recruit locked down the starting job in the second game of the year and completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,204 yards of his passes for 10 touchdowns to only three interceptions.
The suspension officially means Treon Harris will enter next season as the starter as the Gators look to repeat as SEC East champions. He has done an admirable job going 75-135 passing for 1,109 yards, tallying six touchdowns and three interceptions.

But what happens if Harris leads the Gators to wins against Florida State and the SEC Championship Game and somehow get into the College Football Playoff?
We already know Harris will be the starter to start next year, but Harris has a chance to make sure he keeps it all next year too. Let’s say he leads Florida to an undefeated start and Grier is now active, does Jim McElwain yank him and insert Grier?
Probably not, because if they’re undefeated that means Harris is likely playing well, but it’ll be an interesting subplot into next year that could decide who wins the SEC East next season.
