TV Info, betting info and prediction for the Pinstripe Bowl between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Duke Blue Devils from Yankee Stadium.

For the first time since 2007 the Indiana Hoosiers are going bowling. After winning their final two games to become bowl eligible the Hoosiers are headed to the Pinstripe Bowl in New York. They’ll take on a sputtering Duke Blue Devils team that comes in at 7-5.

Both teams had very promising starts to the season. The Hoosiers started off 4-0 for the first time since 1990, but starting with a heartbreaking loss to Ohio State the Hoosiers dropped 6 in a row and were in danger of not making a bowl. Indiana was able to rebound and blowout Maryland and Purdue to end the season.

Duke started off 6-1 and looked like they were on their way to competing for an ACC Coastal Division crown. The wheels quickly fell off after a last second and controversial loss to Miami. After that loss to Miami the Blue Devils dropped four in a row, including a 35-point blowout to archrival North Carolina.

More from Big Ten

Over the last four game the Blue Devils defense has given more than 500 yards of offense. It shouldn’t get any easier going up against Indiana’s potent offense.

This is a matchup features two teams going in opposite directions. Duke on one hand has lost four of its last five, with their only win was against lowly Wake Forest. Indiana on the other hand is playing some of its best football right now coming off two convincing wins, albeit against Maryland and Purdue.

This matchup you usually would love to see on the hardwood and not on the gridiron, but this has the potential to be a very intriguing game.

Prediction

Expect many points in this matchup. You have one defense that has been bad all year (Indiana) and a defense that has played terrible of late (Duke). Bowl games are not a regular occurrence for Indiana, so they’ll make the most of this opportunity. Expect the Hoosiers to play some inspired football.

Duke is limping into the bowl season and they aren’t playing their best ball. The spotty play of both defenses will keep this one close into the fourth quarter, but the quarterback Nate Sudfeld and the Hoosiers will make one or two more plays to put them over the top.

Final Score: Indiana 48 – Duke 41
