The Georgia Bulldogs led the nation in pass defense in 2015 (156.5 passing yards allowed per game), and defensive back Dominick Sanders was a big reason why. One of the most modestly ranked recruits on our list coming out of high school, Sanders nevertheless emerged as a 13-game starter for Georgia as a freshman in 2014 and recorded three interceptions.

As a sophomore, Sanders tied for the conference lead with six picks, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He also recorded five tackles for a loss, one sack, and broke up six passes last year. His 12 passes defended rank fourth among SEC players returning in 2016.

Sanders excelled under former defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, but could be even better playing under the direction of new Georgia head coach (and former Alabama DC) Kirby Smart and new Georgia coordinator Mel Tucker, who spent five years as a DC in the NFL before joining the Alabama staff coaching the secondary in 2015.
